Stratton Meadows, Colorado Real Estate Information

Stratton Meadows is a neighborhood in southwest Colorado Springs. The area is bounded by Interstate 25 on the north and east, State Highway 122 on the south, and State Highway 115 on the west. It is the neighborhood surrounding Meadows Park. Meadows Park Community center started by offering a summer youth program but has grown to become a focal point of the neighborhood. It has led to a growing sense of community pride and accomplishment.

Located at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain, Stratton Meadows is home to many men and women in their early twenties, but you will find all age groups living in this area. Cheyenne Mountain is home to the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station and Cheyenne Mountain Directorate. This facility is built 2,000 feet into the mountain and stationed here are personnel from the U.S. Marines, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and Navy. In addition you will find Canadian Forces stationed here. You will also find the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo here.
The Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun contains an 80 foot observation tower that allows visitors to see the entire metropolitan area of Colorado Springs. The Cheyenne Mountain zoo contains an array of endangered species. The zoo gives a rare opportunity to view a black footed ferret or a mountain tapir.

In the larger Colorado Springs metropolitan area you will find plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment as well as hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. Parks abound for your enjoyment of the mild summers. Colorado Springs is served by the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS) and Denver International Airport (DEN).
